So here it is, finally the personal project is here... Basically Personal project (PP) is when you did a project that actually something you want to do but at the same time creates a benefit for something / someone. it's basically from your own heart, and your speciality so it makes it a little bit easier since it actually something that you used to it. I tried to look for something that i am good at, but at the same time helps the society, at least what i did is actually useful for them. what i found useful for the society is actually teaching people how to play music basically.
This project is about me teaching orphan kids about how do you compose music sheets, how to play guitar, and how to understand the keys without looking it. What I am going to do for this project is to help them to play music better than before because as you can know they cannot afford musical lessons as I do. I learned music for more than 12 years and why not I give them lessons I already learn. i found this useful because you know, a lot of orphan kids do not have insurance to get jobs later on in the future, what i think is if i can teach them something i'm good at, why not?
The function of this project to help orphanage children to get a better future basically because they have skills to gain money, they have experience to do the music playing. Before i choose this topic, I pick something else that actually a pretty good idea, which is to sell traditional drinks then later i will donate into water companies for the people who need water in the eastern side of indonesia, but i chose this topic, because i thought this project is actually better because I gain a information from my uncle's friend who lives in NTT, not in the kupang ( capital city of NTT), they said that the water supply is actually not really far away from their village so it is still reachable, and the life of a kid in the village is actually better from the orphanage. this is because in the village, they live freely, they can enjoy live, they can do anything they want as a kid since they aren't monitored 24/7, not like in the orphanage where they life there is controlled, everything is monitored, and simply they cannot enjoy life.
Panti Asuhan Dorkas is located at menteng, Central Jakarta. Panti asuhan dorkas is a christian orphanage that are formed 122 years ago by GKI Kwitang. total orphans in the Panti asuhan dorkas is about 53 people, with the age range of 4 to 18 years. they got a website, http://www.pantiasuhandorkas.or.id/. this website explains about the history of the panti asuhan dorkas, give us a option to donate to the panti asuhan dorkas through the donation package on the left choice of the screen.
